Needles from 16 to 30 gauge up to 2 inches in length are gone in a matter of seconds, which significantly reduces the risk of an accidental stick. 

 The Needle Zap completely eliminates the need for a sharps container.  As the Device disintegrates the needle at 2200 degrees F, the needle point and all possible pathogens are eliminated.  This provides an extremely low cost per needle destruction considering the cost of having sharps containers emptied and removed.  The device is equipped with an AC adapter for recharging and/or permanent mounting.  Each device comes with (2) two “D” cell batteries installed, but will require charging when first received.  Each fully charged unit will destroy (350) 20-gauge needles before needing to be recharged.
